When I went back to school, my life changed. I had been a backpacker and wilderness guide with at risk teens for about 8 years. Hiking between 3-10 miles a day will keep you thin and fit - no problem!
But, when I went back to school, it was a different story. Maybe you've even heard my cookie story - yes in Portland, I was studying, craving cookies all the time, and I went up in size- 4 sizes and 25 lbs.
Then, by using the tools of NLP, and Self-Hypnosis (from which I created the audio set), I began to change my relationship to food. I understood and identified reasons for craving the wrong things, I stopped the senseless snacking, stress eating, and comfort eating.
I don't fear food - food is fun! With healthy fresh snacks, I find all the enjoyment that some of the "cheating foods" would get, but it's great for you! And, I'm not perfect - I don't eat like a rabbit, I get in a cookie or two now and then, but not compulsively like before. (Know your guidelines rather than strict rules). But my body knows when to say no. I'll eat a couple bites of chocolate and then I am just done. It's easy to walk away.
I've now slimmed down to a size 6 or 4 depending on the brand and the cut. Its so fun to just watch your body change, and not have to think about it too hard. Don't get me wrong, in the beginning it takes some awareness, mental focus and mindset training, but once your system is tuned into your healthy weight number - it can be more easy and natural than ever!
